A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to visit my childhood friends in Houston/Humble Texas for a weekend. I stayed with my best friend Katie and her husband Jorge. We ate one of my absolute favorite restaurants, Jus Mac and went shopping at Sephora.
The main excuse for my visit was to attend the gender reveal party of my good friend, Amanda and her husband Donnie. The party was a wonderful occasion to see friends and “friend family” that I haven’t visited with in a number of years. Many of these people have been in my life since I was about 12 years old and their love for me continues through to this day.
About halfway through the party, Amanda and Donnie started cracking eggs over each other’s heads to find either pink or blue confetti. To all of our pleasure and excitement, the confetti came out…
…PINK! Meaning the sex of their child would be female. Even though I was team male, I was thrilled to see pink confetti come out of the eggs!
This is a picture of Katie, Amanda, and me at the party. I am so fortunate to have been able to celebrate this new blessing. Congratulations Amanda and Donnie. I’m so excited for you both!
Perhaps you’re against gender reveals? Perhaps you hate Texas? You do you, boo.
